Company Background

Advantage Capital was established in 2001 by two UK private equity veterans, Martin Bodenham and Trevor Jones, who have between them 50 years experience of the UK MBO market.

Advantage Capital’s pilot fund, Advantage Capital Partners 1, was closed in 2002 and is now fully invested. The second fund, Advantage Capital Partners 2, was closed in 2007. Fund raising for the firm's third fund, Advantage Capital Partners 3, was accelerated in order to increase the firm's investment firepower, since the current harsh climate plays to Advantage Capital's strategy of seeking to buy high quality businesses well. This fund remains open to new investors.
